How do I get started?
2
Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.How do I get started?
Step 1: Review our services
Begin by reviewing the services outlined on this website to determine whether mediation, arbitration, parenting coordination, or another dispute resolution process may be appropriate for your situation. Each process is explained in plain language, including when it is typically used and what to expect.
Step 2: Submit an intake request
If you believe our services may be a good fit, complete the Intake Request Form available on this website. The form allows us to gather basic information so we can assess suitability, identify any conflict or safety concerns, and determine the appropriate next steps.
Submitting an intake request does not create a client relationship.
Step 3: Initial review and response
Once your intake form is received, it is reviewed by the firm. If the matter appears suitable, you will be contacted to discuss process options, availability, and any preliminary requirements.
In some cases, additional information may be requested before proceeding.
Step 4: Agreement on process and next steps
If all parties agree to proceed, we will confirm:
the dispute resolution process to be used
the scope of services
fees and scheduling
any required participation agreements
Only once these steps are completed does a formal professional relationship begin.
What if I’m not sure which process I need?
That is common. Many clients are uncertain at the outset whether mediation, arbitration, or another process is most appropriate. The intake and initial review process is designed to help clarify options and guide parties toward a process that is proportionate, safe, and suitable for their circumstances.
Do both parties need to contact you?
Not initially. One party may submit an intake request to begin the process. No steps involving the other party will be taken without appropriate procedural fairness, neutrality, and safeguards in place.
Is mediation or arbitration right for every case?
No. Not all matters are appropriate for alternative dispute resolution. Suitability depends on a range of factors, including safety, power dynamics, complexity, and the issues in dispute. Where a matter is not appropriate, this will be identified early.
